Actor and dancer Patrick Swayze died Monday after a 15-month battle with advanced pancreatic cancer with his family by his side.
In 1987 Patrick did Dirty Dancing, in which he played as “Johnny Castle” and got nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. It was Dirty Dancing that really put Patrick Swayze on the map.
He won the hearts of a generations of viewers with his dancing and the unforgettable line, "Nobody puts baby in a corner."
He also wrote the memoir "The Time of My Life" with his wife of more than 30 years, Lisa Niemi.
In 1990 he did "Ghost" and got nominations for Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
Patrick Swayze kept working even after his cancer was disclosed in March 2008.
He starred in "The Beast," an A&E drama series, and was working on a memoir with his wife Lisa Niemi.
Patrick, Was loved by so many different people and will be forever in our thoughts and will be sadly missed!

I grew up,watching Patrick Swayze,in great movies,my favorites r Dirty Dancing,and Roadhouse,i miss him soo much,im completed sad and devastated,by his loss,i miss him so much,he was such a hunk,great actor,singer and dancer,and nobody can replace him.Allyson from staten island,ny
I will always remember Patrick for his roles in North & South which in my opinion was some of the best work that he had done before Dirty Dancing, Road House, Next of Kin, Ghost. He will be greatly missed by his fans. My condolences go out to his beautiful wife and all his family.
